Day after day, bad news rolls in from real estate markets around the country: Foreclosures are accelerating; home prices are plummeting; and a glut of houses sits on the market unsold.
In many areas of the country, that is reality. But Syracuse still paints a more pleasant picture.
House sales continue apace here. From June through September, the average time a house spent on the market before selling was 54 days, said Jeff Roney, president of the Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors.
